Navigating Your Acura’s Warranty: What You Need to Know

In the unlikely event of any situation due to a manufacturing or labor-related issue with your Acura, the problem will be swiftly rectified by any authorized dealer. As your Acura dealer, we want to tell you about the range of systems and components covered by your 2024 Acura warranty.

From Your Acura Dealer: Navigating Your 2024 Acura Warranty

New Vehicle Limited Warranty

This warranty covers almost every component in your Acura, except for systems and components covered by the other warranties below. If something goes wrong with any item covered by the warranty within the designated period, the affected item will be repaired or replaced by Acura-trained technicians using Acura-approved parts for free.

The warranty period is four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. There are certain warranty exclusions, including any repairs made using non-Acura-approved parts, damage caused by abuse or accident, or lack of maintenance.

Powertrain Limited Warranty

The powertrain warranty applies to your engine, transmission, transaxle, and FWD or RWD system components. These systems are the most vital on your vehicle, as they allow it to move. These systems are interconnected, so an issue with a component in one section will affect the ability of all these systems to work correctly.

Warranty coverage is for six years or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first. As in the warranty above, the powertrain warranty doesn’t cover damage due to accidents, abuse, improper maintenance, or other circumstances specified in the warranty booklet.

Federal Emissions Warranties

Pollution is an ever-present problem. Your Acura has a highly advanced emissions control system that’s designed to remove almost all harmful chemicals produced by combustion. It does this using a combination of extreme pressure, great heat, and chemical reactions to convert potentially dangerous emissions into harmless chemicals.

These warranties cover both defects and performance. If any part covered by the emissions warranty fails due to a defect, the part will be repaired or replaced. If the repair is an emergency and can’t be performed at an Aucura-authorized dealer in time, Acura will reimburse you for the cost of the repair. This coverage extends for four years or 50,000 miles, although some components listed in the warranty booklet have an extended warranty duration.

California Emissions Warranties

Here in New Jersey, we apply the California emissions standards in addition to the Federal emissions standards. Your Acura is designed and built to meet the Federal and California emissions requirements. These warranties protect components ranging from four years or 50,000 miles to seven years or 70,000 miles.

Some emissions control systems have longer warranties. The coverage duration for all emissions equipment components is listed in your warranty booklet.
