1. Summer Concert Series
You can catch live music every other Wednesday from June 28 to August 30 at the Wayne Municipal Complex. The series includes top rock, pop, R&B, and Motown hits through the decades with Contemporary Soul, 70s rock with Trans Am, classic rock with The Kootz, country with Due South, 80s and 90s hits with the Counterfeiters, jazz and R&B with The Infernos, and early rock and roll hits with Rave On.
Plan to bring a lawn chair or blanket to this outdoor concert. You can also support a good cause by donating a food donation of dry goods for the Win Food Pantry. The municipal complex is at 475 Valley Road in Wayne and the show starts at 7 p.m.
2. Free Walking and Cart Tours of Laurelwood Arboretum
Guided tours of Laurelwood Arboretum are available on Saturday, June 10, and Saturday, June 14, at 10:30 a.m. You can either walk or take a cart to see the natural exhibits at this expansive facility. To join the tour, meet the group at the Knippenberg Center for Education on the arboretum grounds.
In addition to the tours, you can visit Laurelwood Arboretum from 8 a.m. to dusk every day. It features eight different gardens including sections dedicated to lilacs, native plants, pollinators, and azaleas. You can also take a walk on the sculpture trail. The arboretum is located at 725 Pine Lakes Drive West in Wayne.
3. Tri-County Cruisers 30th Annual Car Show
Auto enthusiasts of all ages will love this cool car show, which has been going on in Wayne every year for three decades. You can register your ride for $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the show. Judging is open to motorcycles, cars, and trucks of any model year, with more than 60 trophies awarded. Admission is free if you’re just there as a spectator, but donations to the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department Company are appreciated.
In addition to the auto contest, this event features vendors, door prizes, live classic rock of the 50s and 60s, and refreshments. The car show will take place on Sunday, June 25, with a rain date of Sunday, July 9. It’s held at Wayne Town Hall, 475 Valley Road, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
