You can select from 30 different small-batch flavors each day along with cakes made to order and treats for pups. Options include cannoli, snickerdoodle, fruity pebbles, and pistachio cherry. They also have fully vegan options.
Hometown Creamery is located at 61 Berdan Ave. It’s open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 p.m.
2. Sip ‘N Swirl Homemade
Located just 5 miles from Wayne in Little Falls, this shop serves homemade scoops made from local, natural ingredients. You can get a cone of your favorite flavor or grab a hand-packed pint or quart to take home. Sip ‘N’ Swirl also makes novelties like sweet sandwiches, truffles cakes, pies, and more. You can even place your order online so it’s ready when you arrive.
Sip ‘N’ Swirl is located inside the QuickRun Food Store at 510 Main St. You can stop by seven days a week from 3 to 9 p.m.
3. Falls Creamery
You can visit this popular dessert spot in just a 10-minute drive from Wayne to Little Falls. Falls Creamery features soft-serve as well as homemade flavors from Gifford’s of Maine. Unique options include Flying Fish Fudge, Banana Oreo, and Blueberry Oat Crumble. You can also get frozen yogurt.
Falls Creamery is open from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 p.m. on Friday, 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 to 9 p.m. on Sunday. It’s located at 11 Paterson Ave in the center of the historic district.
4. Randy’s Homemade
We love taking the quick trip to the shop about 6 miles north of Wayne in Pompton Lakes. Randy’s Homemade thrives on variety and fresh ingredients, so you’ll always find new flavors to try. Seasonal varieties that incorporate local produce and ingredients give fans a reason to stop by all year round.
