2024 Acura TLX
The Acura TLX is a sporty sedan with great handling and a strong engine. For the 2023 model year, the TLX has a new high-performance Type S PMC Edition with special features inside and out. The rest of the TLX lineup now comes with complimentary maintenance for the first two years. Here's a look at some of the details for the 2023 Acura TLX and some of the equipment you can get.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Base TLX comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated side exterior mirrors, and a sunroof. It also has keyless entry. The Technology adds 19-inch wheels, and the A-Spec has 19-inch dark gray wheels, a black spoiler, and LED fog lights. Step up to the Advance for 19-inch alloy wheels, LED puddle lights, power-folding side mirrors, and an adaptive suspension. The Type S has 20-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires, and the new Type S PMC comes with gloss black exterior trim and a carbon fiber spoiler. It also has copper-colored wheels.
Engine (Power)
Every TLX, except the Type S models, has a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that puts out 272 horsepower. It uses a 10-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel drive. Acura's SH-AWD system is available as an option. The Type S model gets power from a 3.0-liter V-6 with 355 horsepower and comes standard with the four-wheel drive system.
Performance
The TLX has lots of power with the four-cylinder engine. It will propel the sedan to 60 mph in just 5.9 seconds. The 3.0-liter turbo under the Type S's hood has extra punch, and this model also performs like a sports car with its nimble handling, engaged steering, and strong brakes. The Type S also has an extra Sport+ driving mode and Brembo performance brakes.
Interior
There's room for up to five people in the TLX. The Base comes with faux leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and ambient lighting. The Technology upgrades to genuine leather upholstery, and the A-Spec has a flat-bottomed steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and a black headliner. You can get a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats in the Advance, and the Type S has 16-way power-adjustable front seats.
The technology in the TLX starts with a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with a touchpad to control it, satellite radio, a 10-speaker stereo, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Base also comes with two USB ports and AcuraLink connected services. A wireless charging pad is optional, and a step up to the Technology gets you a navigation system with real-time traffic information and a 13-speaker stereo system.
Safety Features
Every 2023 Acura TLX comes with a comprehensive list of advanced driver aids. It includes a forward collision warning system with automatic braking, lane-departure warning with a mitigation system that will help keep you in your lane, adaptive cruise control, and a multi-view backup camera. The Technology adds a blind-spot warning system with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors, and the Advance adds a 360-degree surround-view camera and a 10.5-inch head-up display.
